Lough Ennell

Lough Ennell (loch Ainninn) itself is 7km long and 3km wide with an area of 3540 acres and is as equally beautiful as it is steeped in history . It is said that author Jonathon Swift while seating in a boat in Ennell looked back at the shore and seeing how small the people on the shore looked grew his inspiration for one of the most famous book of all, Gulliver's Travels.
Now experience this for yourself as you turn the final marker buoy and sight back to the finishing arch where those 'tiny' supporters will be cheering you on. This is a pearl in the Open Water Swimmer calender and one not to miss. We are running this event from the grounds of the spectacular Bloomfield House Hotel which is only 3km from Mullingar town on the M4,  making it a perfect location.  Weather its your first open water swim or your a regular swimmer we think you'll agree we have brought you another great location perfectly placed in the hearth of the country.

Take your pick of the 750m or 1.5km courses.
